I'd go for Uncharted or pick up a cheap copy of RFOM. Rent Ratchet and Clank.

I cant vote, they are all great games. Id say Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Resistance: Fall of Man (especially for coop) are must haves. Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction is addicting and fun but probably below both above.

If you're going to get Resistance, might as well hold out till Resistance 2, as it's looking to be an all-around improvement. If you've ever played the previous Ratchet and Clank games, Tools of Destruction is basically more of the same in a prettier package (not saying it's a bad thing at all). I would suggest Uncharted, as it's a fresh experience and definitely keeps you from getting bored.

Don't waste another minute in hesitation, I've played them all. Get Ratchet & Clank NOWS!

It's just brilliant if you appreciate platformers in any way/shape/form. Resistence gets tiresome rather quickly as it's a fairly standard FPS in just about every respect with the exception of the setting. Uncharted is great for one playthrough but fails to capture the attention of an audience if you're the social gamer type. RNC is great because it looks and plays stunning and you can toss the controllers to whomever is next to you and they can pick it up in no time. I only had ~1 hour with RNC on my friends ps3 and it was already becoming my favorite adventure/platformer since the days of Sonic Adventure for Dreamcast.

Heres the best advice...

Get a 360 instead...

O____o

Also he has a 360

don't Get Resistance.

Just Another Generic Shooter With 1 Or 2 Unique Weapons.

thank God I rented this mediocre game instead of buying it.

You can't really go wrong with any of those titles though, they all are pretty damn fun to play. It's pretty much whatever genre preference you have.

I have to agree, I don't understand the hype round resistance. I thought it was very meh.

Resistance and Uncharted are two really damn good games. I voted for Resistance because it's a bit longer, has more replay, a damn good multiplayer, and is probably cheaper now than Uncharted. Plus it'll be good to play it before the sequel comes out. However, I think Uncharted has considerably better gameplay, but it's just not as full of a package - perfect rental though.

Ratchet is also a really fun game, but IMO isn't in the same league as the other two.

Oh hey look, yet another fanboy has come crawling up from the depths. Both systems have their merits, and it's all down to preference unless you plan on buying both. No need to assert your opinion upon others who have already made their decision.

I currently have a PC and a Wii, but this summer I will be getting a PS3. Why? Because the PS3 has the exclusives that I'm most interested in, and many of the popular 360 exclusives will be released on the PC anyways.

I found Resistance to be boring, and its the only game Ive played out of the three. However, the old R&C games are awesome :D

Resistance was strangely over-hyped. Evcen though it was made by Insomniac, I found it generic, with graphics that a PS2 could handle. Get Ratchet and Clank. AND, get MotorStorm.

I had the opportunity to try all three just now and I found ratchet and clank to be the most enjoyable. Ofcourse, I'm not used to playing games with the typical console controller so I had a little trouble with unchartered and especially resistance.

I played ratchet and clank for an hour or two and it felt really good with the controller, as did burnout paradise.

I vote R&D!

Did the people who are all dissing Resistance not play it on co-op? If so I agree, single-player and multiplayer were nothing amazing. Co-op with a friend is good fun however if that's a possibility Kage.

Admittedly I didn't play coop however I find that alot of games will seem lighter in co-op due to the fun atmosphere of playing it with your pals but if a game can't get it's main mode down then there's a problem. To quote Yahtzee "I don't give a flying **** about multiplayer" and also a game that is so revered "shouldn't need anything to excuse it".

Actually since I am in mid rant mode now I'll just go down on record and say that resistance is ****. Yahtzee please review this game!

Seconded. Fanboism is stupid. :P I won't be buying a next-gen system anytime soon, but if I had to buy one, It'd be a PS3. simply because I have a PC, which in turn also means that the 360 is basically a poor man's chance to play PC games since many 360 games also come out for the PC anyways. :| < D'oh! I'm not a PC fanboy! Seriously! :D

The Wii is good too, but the PS3 simply has much more exclusives that I like. Including R&C:Tools of Destruction, which I won't have the chance to play anytime soon btw. ;(

To the OP, if you don't buy R&C:ToD right away if your getting a PS3, then may maggots eat your soul. < ***jealousy*** :|

I would say Uncharted first, R&C second, Motorstorm third, Heavenly Sword fourth, Resistance fifth for the big exclusives. They are all top-notch and wonders to behold. They each have their small faults but those are the cream of the crop imho. GT5: P will also be one to MAKE SURE YOU GET IMMEDIATELY when it releases later this month. :E

In retrospect, the Wii has some exclusives I'd like better than a 360. Zelda, Metroid, Galaxies, Party 8, Kart and Brawl are all very tempting.
