Well, ever since I formatted my pc, I installed the same drivers I always do. Everything is installed as it should be except for one thing I seemingly missed.

The problem is, everytime I boot my pc, an add new hardware window immediatly pops up. I check what the hardware is, and all it says is "Unknown"

Is there any way to figure out what it is??

I've got the same exact issue except I have two add new hardware windows that popup. I have got no clue what they are. I even checked through the device manager and theres nothing missing. I've reformatted my computer atleast 15 times and this is the only time I've ever had this occur.

Yeah, after a while its a huge pain in the ass. Anyone know what it is?

It's probably something on your motherboard. Onboard sound enabled? firewire? (Although that usually installs automaticly) More USB ports? Another network adapter? Pop your motherboard CD in and see what drivers are included that you could be missing (check the main install menu).

You could disable the unknown hardware so it doesn't keep popping up. ;)
It's not being used anyway.
