Unofficial G-man Theory Thread

Post your G-man theories here! ... Or don't!

I was thinking that G-man might be looking for a successor to take his current mysterious position of power and he is "training" Gordon Freeman to do so. Maybe long ago, G-man was just like Gordon: an ambitious physicist with dreams of someday changing the world... Or something along those lines. With his techology and knoledge, G-man could have gained power but knowing that no one lives for ever, he seeks a successor to continue the clandestine reign of the G-man. I have no real evidence of this being true at all. Neither can I think of anything that could completely disprove this theory. But hey, it sounds cool in my head...

this is a good theory! i havent heard anything like this, but i like the idea. it fits the story too, and it would make a lot of things make sense.

check these screenies out i took. they are of the level when your in the buggy going along the coast road. i stopped off at one of the 'houses' that were on the beach and found a combine trooper looking through a combine binoculars attached to a wall. once i shot the combine trooper 2 others came out. i looked through the binoculars and this is what i saw

now i got no idea whats going on just something to think about, as i havent found anyone else who has seen this, although im sure someone has. if you are blind thats a few screenies of gman talking to some of the rebel troops who are in base up ahead, the base where you have to stop and help the troops shoot down the gunship/dropship.

when i got to the base i was like stuff that im not helping you guys untill you tell me what gman was talking about

I think it'd be good to know what that British resistance guy says on the radio after you go upstairs to fight the gunship.

He never actually gets through on the radio, he keeps calling for aid until the gunship dies, at which point he simply gives up.

The gman having been there doesn't guaruntee that the resistance is actively consorting with the gman behind your back. The gman could have approached them and told them about the incoming dropship and given them the rocket launcher, without having told them anything about who you were or that you were even coming (though they wouldn't have to be told by the Gman that you were coming, since the various stations were in constant radio contact, and it seems they were listening in on combine radio comms too)

yeah i remember looking through those binoculars. i wasnt paying much attention to it so i didnt notice the g-man but i did want to get over there. maybe next time i play through ill noclip my way over there.

I'm sure other have said this one b4 but what the heck: I think Gman is an alien... However, I also think there's probably many "copies" or clones (if you like) of him, which is why he seems to be everywhere. And sure why not they probably have a collective mind. Not to mention his sources have control or time travel (some).

You took it back to the shop? You should have just helped them. What does ****ing mean? Is it posting, jumping or maybe it means joking (no wait, that doesn't have four letters before the "ing").

Noclipping to an area you're not supposed to go to most likely will reveal nothing.

If you're not meant to go there, I doubt they'd finish any building there.
