To the best of my knowledge, these havent been published before. They were taken by a coworker and only recently have I decided to put them on the net. In two of them you can see one the planes tires laying on the sidewalk.

Yeah, that landing gear one is crazy.

EDIT: Wait a minute, I don't know how that could actually be one of the tires from the 911 planes...Think about it, the landing gear were fully retracted inside the fuselage when the plane hit. Wouldn't the tires have been vaporized into tiny pieces just like the rest of the plane? Especially considering they were made out of rubber, the fireball would have obliterated them. Far out pictures if they're real though.

And it's possible....the tires could have just went flying out the otherside of the building after the impact.

I wish I had of been there to see it all unfold....like in a huge office building next to the two towers.

I know they're real photos. I just thought they might be from another plane crash.

Im not sure why you would think that..... The planes were traveling atleast 300mph. The initial impact would have torn it to pieces....and luanched debris everywhere.

I just assumed that the entire plane basically disintegrated. This is the largest part from the planes that I've seen.

The landing gear is very solid, It does in fact, hold the weight of the entire plane, and at the same time stop the plane.

Of all the things that would survive the impact, the landing gear would be one of them.

I PM'd an admin about it as I was curious as well. I was told that the thread starter has been banned before and that thread was the person trying to come back. So that's the primary reason it was deleted.

That's what I thought to, thus the reason I wanted to ask an admin about it. Still didn't really make sense to me, but nothing I can do about it I guess.

If you watch the 9/11 documentary that the two French brothers made you'll see that what you're saying is wrong. Quite a lot of the planes went straight through the towers and landed on the sidewalk. In the documentary it shows a cop stopping people from getting near one of the engines, which was pretty intact.

Its just weird to me, that physically the rubber on those tires survied the explosion/heat.. just doesn't compute but then again i'm not an engineer who knows what exactly those tires are made of and what exactly it would take to melt and destroy them. The impact alone, in my mind, would obliterate them.. But that doesn't seem to be the case here.

crazy theory, but consider that the landing gear was in the plane as it entered the tower right?

wouldn't all this metal in essence shield it from the flames as it was passing through the building and maybe it then fell apart on the other side, fell to the ground, bounced a bit, and came to a stop.
