Unsupported Video card?

Since the download of the "patch" last night I keep getting this message that I have to update my video driver- I did that last night. It took me another hour and a half (dial up sucks) but I did it. I unzipped/unpacked it and had installed and restarted the computer. I thought this would work, however upon loading the game I am still getting the same error.

I have an Intel 82865G graphics controller and I'm running the driver that was updated on 11/2- version 6.14.10.3943

what am I doing wrong, what do I have to fix? I am really clueless here.

This problem is in addition to the crashing memory error/stuttering- both of which weren't fixed by any of the quick fixes (file copies etc).

It should give you an option to "play anyway" What happend when my freind tried it on his intel extremly crap graphics card.

Oh and btw stuttering is probably amplified by your graphics card.

i have intigrated also but i just bought a fx 5200 i would never play hl2 with that they dont even have T&L engine

it does...then it quits with that damn memory error.

Stuttering isn't that bad- only comes right before the game crashes (like at an auto save point).

fx 5200 do have T&L but will on run half life at 8.1 directx
