also this demo was a released awhile back and I've been hooked on it for a few days ..it's a space combat/trading sim (more arcadey than uber-realistic). Lots of fun

There will be- if you listen to the interviews from quakecon and such they are going to slowly release beta keys eventually tuning the game and releasing a demo BEFORE the release. Within a month you will see people getting keys. they will be doing phases of testing similiar to bf2142

They were planning a fall release as of a month ago. But all the stores say 2007 :\

So the beta will be in the fall for sure.
