Updated CT model in de_inferno screenshot

yer looks... different... too deserty but betta then the old one i think...
 
Finally getting rid of that crappy ct model!
 
why do all ct's look the same , i mean in condition zero there are different classes of ct's and t's DAH
 
It's showing a different type of camo in a setting with a similar color theme. They might eventually introduce a map-specific player model system where all the CTs and Ts have several different player models (or at least skins) for different settings... such as jungle, urban, desert, arctic, etc... and the level designer would set which skin/model for the game to load. I would prefer a system like that. It doesn't hurt the gameplay and it helps give it a more realistic, immersive appearance. You wouldn't see terrorists in bulky winter clothing running around in de_dust as in the original CS... or counter-terrorists with black (or dark green/navy) clothing in every map. Perhaps if they gave you two or three choices within the general theme of each type of map it would somewhat soothe the rabid anti-change people that came over from CS. Anyway, I'm crossing my fingers... but it won't happen. ;(
 
im just praying the dont completely change it so we dont see a yellow ct running round prodigy :s

p.s im glad they got rid of shiny helmet though.

Inferno dont look too bad either :)

All I want is two sets of arms.

One for terroists, one for CT. Yet alone Team specific voice commands. Yet alone map specific models.
 
I'm having trouble placing where that is on the map. I like the way that looks though. Inferno is probably my favorite map. EDIT: Nevermind I got it. I didn't see the balcony before.

I personally don't care about different classes, it's not like the game is third person. Besides, it's easier to tell enemies from friends this way.

The CT model we have right now is incredibly easy to headshot.
 
I hope the damn clipping problems are fixed.

...because that annoys me too.

I also want to second... or third, the map specific skin idea. And I would REALLY like to see different 1st person arm and hand models for each side.

It's not like it ruins the game, but it would be nice if the 1st person hands mached the 3rd person ones.

BTW I am not a cs noob. I've been playing since '99 but these things have always been in the back of my mind.

no i think the clipping problem is wen the cts hold guns their arms go through thier chest...
 
Theres two clipping issues.

One on his ribcage and one at the butt of the gun.

And one where when a CT dies, his knees go through the floor.

I, personally, love the look of the new model. Er, I mean the design. I don't like the whole color scheme but those happy modders can make a skin I do like w/o all those stupid clipping problems.

I agree, those modellers are sooooo lazy. I mean it would only take a day or so to fix that problem...
 
Looks great. In CS I sucked a lot cuz i couldn't distinguish both teams... :p
