upgrade old or just get a new one?

ok so my mom still has her 450 mhz and she dousent have the monney to buy a new leading edge PC... think i shoul toss her my comp and just get myself a 100% new one ex... 3.8 ghz 718 mb DDR ram and a 6800Ultra? with dual harddrives? or just upgrade my ram and get a 6800U with a 500wat power box

6800 and 6800 ultra are totally different, good luck overclocking the 6800 to 6800 ultra speeds.
