Simmo, that page isn't to upgrade 750k to 2mb etc (these upgrades are automatic) - this is to upgrade packages from 2mb to 3mb etc (which is not free, hence why it is not automatic)

Broadband Plus is just pay-extra subscription to music videos and stuff you'll never watch.

I can get 2MB AOL broadband for £20 a month :E

If I wasn't in a contract with Wanadoo right now I would stomach AOL and go for that

ooh I just realised, the majority on the slower speeds rushing to upgrade will not be able to, since they'll still have the old Pace boxes (the CM ones will probably already have upgraded to 1.5mb months ago) so those rushing to do it now will still have to wait a week for the engineers to swap over to the samsung boxes. ha we might still get ours first afterall then

anyone on a cablemodem or happens to have a samsung STB could theoretically upgrade now. But anyone with a Pace one wont be upgrading until its replaced, since they just can't get higher than 1mb.

bugger so i downloaded that speedtester.. but its been "improved" and doesn't even give a proper bleedin result, just tells you the same old tired servers still don't work. How amazingly useless lol

Try downloading a file from micro$hits server, like WMP10, I heard MS servers have 1337 speeds...

Well for me, I was on 1.5mb so it was supposed to be an automatic upgrade to 3mb.. which certainly speeded up so I must have been upgraded

Though doing that pobz test, it doesn't look to have been.. I guess it just means the service worked at its proper speed for once weee lol, hey I'm just happy its running haha.

Same situation here, I think i still have 1.5 meg but i was supposed to be upgraded to 3 meg. speed test still tells me i have 1.5, that page is just confusing me, do I now have to pay for the upgrade?

no, it wasn't likely to be upgraded on the 8th. just an assumption. Mine simply worked faster than I've noticed it before, but hasn't from what I can tell been upgraded.
