Upgrading from Geforce 4 to ATI..

I dont keep up on the latest trends very much, as I dont have much free time. I will be upgrading from my geforce 4 to some sort of ATI card in the next few weeks. I am curious if anyone has any advice on what card to get? I really dont know anything about ATI, as I have owned voodoo/3dfx/Nvidia cards for most of my gaming days. I am looking to not go above $200 and still run HL2 well, if thats possible.

If anyone is knowledable on ATI cards, or if anyone knows of any site with good information on them, I would appreciate any information you could provide.

I would recommand an Radeon 9600 Pro or a Radeon 9700 Pro ATI graphics card.

I perosnally have a 9600pro (don't get powercolor).
The initial benchmark results show that the 9600pro had the best bang for it's buck.

Benchmarks have shown 9600 to perform very well. Plus, it's price is just at $200. I'm planning on getting that as well.
