Upgrading my system for HL:2

Hey people, yes im a n00b. A n00b in need of some help.

My current specs are:

1.8ghz (runs at 1.5..why?) amd athlon processor
GeForce4 ti4200 128mb graphics card
256mb RAM ;(

I'm looking to play the game at a decent resolution (1024x768) with a GOOD frame rate.

Can i get away with adding a stick of 512 to my RAM and upgrading the graphics card or just the processor? Or is it time to upgrade all 3?

I have NO idea on what card to upgrade too, so any suggestions and links for that would be greatfully appreciated. My budget is at most £200.

Any suggestions and links for a new processor + good RAM also greatly appreciated

Have you tried HL2 on that system because it should run pretty well but if you have and still not happy I'd say get some more ram (another 512 would do) and a Radeon 9800 pro graphics card which are quite cheap and more than powerful enough to run with everything on high.

1800+ is the speed rating. Actual clock speed is 1.5ghz.

Not tried the game on my system yet no, i shall do so next weekend and find out how playable it is. Thanks for the graphics card advice, i shall go check this card out now.
