Upgrading RAM

Sorry I'm sure this has been asked somewhere before but it won't let me search for such a short term. What I am wondering is what would be faster... 2 512 sticks in ddr and a gig (3 slots in all) or just 2 gig in ddr? Thanks!

Well, the thing with RAM is, the more slots you use up, the slower it will go. I'd say that for now you should be fine with just 1 stick of a 1 gig. 2 gigs of RAM won't improve your performance all that much over 1 gig. Atleased not for awhile. But if you really want 2 gigs, then use the least ammount of slots possible, so get 2 x 1gig.
