UPN and Paramount today jointly announced the show's cancellation. The show's series finale, which may feature Jonathan Frakes (William T. Riker) and Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi), will air on Friday the 13th of May. The show's fate was probably sealed when last Friday's episode reached only 2.5 million viewers - but even so, the people at EnterpriseFans.com are still trying to raise money for a fan campaign to save the show."

Voyager :x

I liked the orginal series (and to a lesser extent, the Next Generation) and Deep Space 9. I really enjoyed DS9 because of the continuing story it had. Thats a big reason why I like stargate. Every episode, although enjoyable on its own, is just a small part of a actual series, rather than a load of seperate stories thrown together. Enterprise was good for that as well.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Seriously, for upn thats probably like 9/10 of the viewers. Has anyone seen the other trash on upn?

There are far worse sci fi shows on television then Enterprise, luckily they've all been cancelled i.e. Farscape, Buffy, Angel and Babylon 5. Anyway, with the constant "Vulcan female first officer strips naked and steps into shower" storylines, it was bound to happen sooner or later. It was better then the crap original series though, so i give it that.

How can it be better than the original series? The original series spawned all the other shows, the spinoffs, a number of movies, many video games, tons of merchandise, made big stars of many of the actors and a hell of a lot of money to the creators and actors alike.

What did Enterprise do, apart from get ridiculed for its terrible storylines and attacked by the trekkies for all the changes it made to the Star Trek timeline.

How dare you call Babylon 5 crap :) :p

It owns Star Trek in every possible way (and I'm a big Star Trek fan)

Also, it wasn't cancelled - just reached the end.

//back on topic.

I was just starting to get into Enterprise :/ It just wasn't as good as the previous shows.

Let's hope the next one is back on form :)

All that sci fi crap is junk. The only good stuff is star wars, and not the first three episodes. Episodes 4 5 and 6 are where its at, as well as all the information in the RPG books for it, etc.

I agree, the original series (which used to come on SciFi when I was in 5th grade; I watched it every day) and DS9 were always my favorites too.

Babylon 5 was cancelled, JMS talked them into letting him have a final season (he'd originally written it for far longer) so he had to compress everything up, throw a lot of it out and thats why its all very rushed and the file three or four episodes were terrible.

Really?? :/

I didn't know that.

However, it never felt rushed to me - and it was a sensible place to end it. So i'm not too bothered.

I know the shows after b5 were cancelled, but tbh they weren't a patch on the original.

(i'm half way through series 2 again :) by the time series 5 is finished there should be another series of BSG \o/ Adma better not be dead tho - or heads will roll!)

It's a shame, because although the show was sucky, it was the only star trek (series or movie) to ever have adequate special effects.

I was never a fan of the original series...the only things i enjoyed was the constant fight to the deaths that Kirk seemed to get into and the music. But to me, Star Trek should be about wars with the Romulans and a bit of politics, etc, as well as finding new civilisations. Not beaming down to a planet, having 2 ensigns killed off by a giant space blob, before the owner of the giant space blob, a thin woman with blonde hair, green skin and a min skirt seducing Kirk and then her husband fighting him to the death...cue "fight to death" music.

The Next Generation started off like this but it did evolve to dealings with the Klingons and Romulans and the Borg, etc.

The political stuff I admit is interesting in Star Trek, well apart from the Klingon bits, never was keen on all that.

But I'll not have you put down the green skinned women! ;)

yeah been having to use IE recently for a few types of video file inside a page (can't give the link, lots of porn on the site lol) Can't view my friends "Art"cam in FF neither, which is a bit annoying, that and I gotta reinstall yahoo messenger just to get it working again grrr :p

It might not be displaying cause of adblock, hmm I'll try.. yeah adblock, i must be blocking something or other that it thinks is in that url, heh oh well.

How in jebus' name can jonathan frakes and mirina sirtis star in the final episode of Enterprise? They're like 200+ years in the future ...

I'm not fussed about Star Trek any more... TNG was the only decent one, that and the films (all of em).

Probably another timetravel episode

See, there's the trouble with Star Trek's in right there. 90% of the movies and episodes conform to four basic plots.

"Can we travel through time?",
"Is this a halucination?",
"Did we discover a new life-form?"
and
"Can diplomacy prevent this battle?"

The answer to those questions being invariably 'yes', 'no', 'yes' and 'usually'. In that order.

Stupidest thing about Star Trek for me, is the Aliens. Nearly every single alien is a simple human with a slight variation in one of their body parts, particularily the face. Like, one alien species might have a ridged nose. One might have pointed ears. Such minute changes to the human body which ends up being very dull. I like star wars in this regard. Most Aliens are VASTLY different in it compared to humans. Diversity is the spice of life.

Why are you talking about stargate ? Anyway, I find this show really geeky tbh, and the make-up looks so bad :x
