Uppdating HL2

How do I uppdat/patch Half Life 2?

Also, where can I see what version I have?

when u log into to steam it should update it automatically and press ~ to open the console in hl2 and at the top right it should say source engine 7 and a build number i dont remember but even if it didnt automatically dl it should when u click the hl2 to play

Yes, if you have steam on its default settings, it should update automatically.

When I bring down the console, up in the right corner it says "Source Engin 7 (build 2229)". Is that the current version?

Well, it's the same build I have, so either we're both out of date, or yes, it is indeed the current version.

yes thats the right version i dont c how u could be out of date because it will force u to update before u can play the game
