URGENT! Any Steam buyers here with scandinavian letters in their names?

Hi all.

I´m trying to buy Half-Life 2 (Gold) through Steam, but it won´t let me enter the letter Ö (the O with the two dots in it). The problem is, both my name and my adress have that letter in them.

Is it okay if I replace the letter with just a regular "O". Has anyone scandinavian or with scandinavina letters in their name/adress(preferably Gold buyers) bought the game through Steam and done this?

Thanks. I really don´t want to miss out on my HL2 Gold buy just because of this.

Try going to start menu, run 'charmap'. It should be there. ö. ööööö.

It should work with o. That's how I registerd EQ awhile back.

yepp, i had an ä in my adress, but i changed it to a. the post office guys understand perfectly, im 100% sure

No, it´s Steam who doesn´t accept the letter. When I press Ö in any of the Steam fields (like "Adress") it doesn´t enter anything.

When I try to enter it by pressing "Alt + 0214", the same thing happens. Nothing.

As the previous guys said, use an 'o'. I had to put an 'a' instead of an 'ä' but it worked anyhow.

I used "oe" instead of "ø" when i regged mine.

Ok so have you guys received your merchendise yet? And you didn´t get any problems even though you didn´t enter your names exactly as they appear on your credit card?

Try copying and pasting it. If not then I think they'll understand.

OK, thanks you guys. I feel a lot safer a bout ordering now. And now I´ll have people to blame if things go wrong
Just kidding.

I´ll check with my bank and a Visa service number tomorrow. Steam support also said they will look into it, but I really want to play the game on Saturday.

EDIT: Copy/paste didn´t work either.
