urgent: horizontal mp in halo2 on 360/widescreen ?

okay, i need to know, < 2 hours and i've been googling like crazy and if i actually find a page that looks like it will have the info, it's dead/missing.

setup:
xbox360
original halo2
widescreen lcd hdtv


i don't want to use the 360 in non-hd as it's strange on my lcd. :/

Halo 2 only runs in widescreen 480p. That's not an HD resolution, and as such it's going to look blurry and upscaled on your plasma screen no matter what you do. The Xbox360 can't force the software to run in a resolution it's not coded to render in.

Do you mean having horizontal split screen?

You cannot use HD however, as I'm sure you know by the sounds of it...

In case you don't know I'll give you the method to get horizontal split screen again.

Go into your Xbox360 Dashboard and go into the System blade, then into Console Settings -> Display

Change the resolution to 480p and the Screen type to Normal (not widescreen).

That is the only way you can get horizontal split screen.

i did it that way iced_eagle, and it looked terrible but luckily i didn't have to share. ^_____^

fyi, it was for a lan and i was worried a couple of us may have to share, and i had pretty much the biggest screen though vertical was incredibly annoying.

it was an awesome lan, 12 xboxs and 14 people in 2 rooms, if you moved you had to dodge the gazillion network cables, controller cords and so on - all in all, it was insanely fun, we're planning our next one to have 16 ppl and 16 xboxs, we could get more (of both) but there's no point since it would suck to be playing by yourself or 1 or 2 others when there's another 16 ppl in the same game.
