US high school Teen elected Mayor.

A heroic vicotry.

I dont care what partie he is, its amazing!

"..and my first job as Mayor. Free milk for all!"

Interesting. Neat stuff. I don't know if it will last long, but it's funny.

He will lower the voting age to 18! Then they will lower the age for elected officials to 18! Soon the president will be 18!

the voting age IS 18. and i think its cool that he got elected... too bad it would only happen in a small town.

i wish i was mayor... i'd give cows free reign in the cities and restrict pigs... just for segregation purposes

I live in a town of about 60 000. Maybe I should try.

(First the town, then the WORLD...)

kosher too :E

Heh, we were just talking about this at my Grandpa's funeral. Hillsdale is about 5 miles away from where my cousin's live.

Hmmmmm

US High School Teen Victim of Assassination.

A young 18 year old Michael Sessions was the target of a political assasination today. Sources indicate that the murderer might have ties with the previous Mayor, but this is as of yet purely speculation. When our journalists confronted and asked the incumbent on the matter, he had this very controversial comment on the murder.

"It was probably for the better. Sessions's mind was too young to be involved in politics, and his naive views would destroy this small town! All young people think about is change, change, change!"

I was expecting that.

I swear.

Thats pretty cool. Hope he doesn't have a stick of morality and conservativeness up his ass. Legalise it (All)! ;)

uhh this just in, only 14% of that town voted. honestly they'd probably elect anybody with a pulse.

You're missing the point entirely.

The point is...

He's 18...
And he's mayor.

Does wonders for the mind, doesn't it?

Here in albuquerque, a town of over 500,000 we had a 19 year old on the ballot. He didn't come close to beating the incumbent mayor but atleast it shows there is an interest in politics from young people.

not enough of one... 18-24 has traditionally been one of the least likely constituencies to turn out to vote. we had a 19 year old up for the school board this election but lost miserably. still got 9000 votes though, which is pretty neat.
