US media still pushing the Jessica Lynch lie

In a story today about Jessica Lynch being pregnant, MSNBC continues to falsely claim she was rescued ..or that she was captured for that matter

she wasnt rescued ffs ..how do you get rescued from a hospital? she wasnt even captured ..an ambulance brought her to the hospital. In fact on 2 separate occassions hospital staff tried to bring Lynch back to the americans but both times they approached a checkpoint (in an ambulance I might asdd) they were shot at ..at one point they put her down and waited for hours ..and had to take her back because no one came to pick her up

Damn no wonder so few americans are against the war ..the lies your media shoves down your throat is appalling

I'm pretty sure the ratio of Americans who are against the war is 60%/40% now. Somewhere near there anyway. I'm sure you'll post a link showing me differently though.

And wasn't this a story like 2 years ago? I haven't heard anything about it since then.

yes most americans are against the war ..but for all the wrong reasons: they've been there far longer than anyone expected, rising US casualties etc


and yes she hasnt been in the spotlight because she's a bit of an embarrassment because the whole propaganda shit blew up in their faces

yes but all media coming out of Iraq (US) is approved by the pentagon beforehand ..I think everyone should have been tipped off that it was fake when they saw the "rescue" video ..since when do special forces carry around a film crew when they're on a mission?
 
I wouldn't even blame this one on the media. There are a lot of major news sources in the US who have exposed this story on numerous occasions. The problem lies with the American people, who just don't seem to give a shit. I guess it's easier to listen to stories about pretty Rambo girls and daring rescue operations than a story on how the government lied to the people ... unless the lie involves a blowjob.
 
You know what's sad? I consider my self pretty educated when it comes to these things but this is the first time I remember hearing that this is a lie. I simply can not believe that I actually got brainwashed by our ****ing media to believe differently. Thank you Stern for posting this.

Scott, do you have any links to any american source that showed the true story? I honestly don't remember every hearing any different. I even read the story at yahoo yesterday about her being pregnant and they were pushing the lies.
 
Man I even remember reading that shit in the guardian. I do not remeber reading that it was a lie.
 
I remember hearing about the true story way back in 2003 or 2004. I didn't know that the American news networks still keep up the lie, though. It's a scary thing what some baised media can do.

Yeah on TV here it was explained it was false.

I heard the first rumours about a month after it happened.. its strange how some people know quite well about it, and some people are only hearing about it for the first time.

I chalk it up to the fact that I haven't heard anything about it since they aired the rescue footage.
 
it was obvious to me the first time I saw the footage ..I mean why would they take a camera crew on a special operations mission? ..I also heard reports the day after Lynch arrived in germany; specifically that german doctors had examined her and had seen no signs of physical injury consistant with being in a "fierce" battle


I am surprised at how few americans know about the lie 3 years after the fact ..surely some media outlets must have reported it, it was all over non-american media. After the "rescue" there was extensive coverage of her recovery. I distinctly remember her parents being forbidden from talking to the media ..which I found odd

dam, i always thought it was "known" to not be true.
Here on TV it was more or less downplayed as "oh, it was a mistake, she wasnt recued but blabla".
Funny vid btw, "like uhh sylvestor stalone, movie, they run out of chopper yelling "go go go" and they break in doors".
