How do I put the number in? people have said put 0044 before the number and I get a busy signal when I dial

I also don't have the ability to do a + on my phone

Oh. I was going to say you need a plus. Get them to ring you, paste the number.

Can't do a plus, not gonna pay for a skype call (or bother having them get skype) and I'm not going to paste the number, just generate a random one and tell me what I need to do

Sure you can't do +? Hold down 0 and see if you get the plus?

I just asked my dad, who worked for BT for a long time, he suggested just starting with 44, then dropping the 0 from the start of the UK mobile number, so essentially what you already did, without the 00's. He doesn't think that will work though!

What he did advise is to ring international directory inquiries, which should be a 3 digit number (find it out for the states, its 155 here), and ask them how you do it, or maybe they can connect you? That's your best bet. But mobile to mobile over the atlantic ocean isn't going to be cheap!

So...do 44-number instead of 0044-number? (without the starting 0 obviously)

+35 is Ireland tbh

"tbh" makes no sense at all in that sentence. I absolutely hate when people use that incorrectly.

Well, he was actually lying, ireland is +101, he said "tbh" to throw you off.

Silly Dread.

I think +35 is Irish mobiles. Or at least I have a friend who lives in Ireland with +35.

And I hate it too Dread. Just couldn't think of anything much to say otherwise.

I have some Sprint shit-tastic phone, but when I hold down 0 or any digit it comes up as speed dial

Can you turn speed dial off? Have you checked for international directory inquiries number?

"I believe +35 is Ireland".

You stoned?

0044 and then remove the first zero from the UK phone number. Its simple.

BTW you don't have to change the number for text messages between countries. The message centre number stored in your phone has an international prefix.
