US Soldiers witnessing a nuke

Every single time I watch a video of a nuke, I get massive goosebumps...scary shit.

I always found them fascinating and almost beautiful... that said, I would rather not have one near me :p

Incredible video.

RIP the guys they sent to the explosion. D:

I wonder how far away that was? it's kinda hard to judge distance in a flat landscape like that.

also anyone now what those traces things are good for? I've seen them on several nuke test blasts but have no idea what they are?

Uh, weren't those soldiers a little close? :p I suppose it's pretty hard to tell. Pretty awesome though.

But don't forget this big ****-off Russian bomb from the 60's. I remember reading about how just the heat alone could cover you in third-degree burns from 100km away. Pretty scary shit.

It's obviously a radiation test, they're sending them towards the explosion to measure the effects the radiation has on them.

aparently all those soldiers died by radiation

Didn't they all...like...get cancer?

The US Army Nuclear Research Department would like to deny any connection at all between atomic bomb testing and rises in cancer statistics in and around Nevada. It was all caused by weather baloons.

wtf when was this??

also that was a very very small nuke.
