Now when she was bashing another government like we usually do now-a-days my mom made a really thoughtful comment that I think is being ignored.
"Although they were aware of the threat, Burma's state-run media failed to issue a timely warning to citizens in the storm's path," she said.

"The response to the cyclone is just the most recent example of the junta's failure to meet its people's basic needs."
Does that sound familiar? If not, then let's go back to 2005 when a hurricane hit Louisianna, aka Hurricane Katrina.

I believe it was the same exact disaster only the death toll wasn't as high. FEMA didn't do anything, Bush didn't do anything and so we had people baking in the sun and dying in their wheelchairs. How could we forget the same scenario that happened just 3 years ago?!? How can anybody forget the worst natural disaster in American history just 3 years ago?! The worst part is the media or none of the presidential candidates are bashing the government like this.

Also more importantly, is Bushs approval rating so low that his wife has to do his public appearances now?!

Actually that explain a lot.

We also refused to accept aid as well. LOLOLOL. You're a hypocrite you ****!

Also... 250,000 dollars wtf? That's cheaper than one missile. Albeit an advanced one.

Yeah I was thinking that as well. Isn't that actually miniscule?

We are like way over a trillion in the hole already. Surprised we offered any aid in fact.

Give it a few decades, it'll be Burma offering aid to Americistan and its below poverty line population.

:bounce:

That doesn't stop us from spending money where it doesn't need to be spent.

And "way over a trillion" is an understatement...

We're precisely about 10 trillion dollars in debt right now.

10 trillion.

trillion.

10,000,000,000,000

And I can't believe people still support the governments outrageous spending on military projects for our foreign wars... as if they are somehow so blind they cannot see that the value of our dollar is plummeting, and we're only just beginning to reap what we sewed when it comes to our excessive spending on things that won't net us a profit.

Just watch when they do a survey on where Americans spent their tax refunds or the economic stimulus check. Mine is going to gas and taxes. So in the end, gas companies get more because Americans got extra money to spend. ;) Let's just pray nothing happens with Iran. Shit will hit the fan if Iran does anything to us or we do something to them.

penis.

EDIT: WTF is this post? I wasn't awake at 04:35.

*glares at mods*

That's because we can't force the US to repay the debt. Therefore, the US goverment doesn't worry too much.

Well, right up until I break off their big toes and murder them with it, anyway.

Yeah. Russia borrowed heabily from us, and what are they gonna do when we tell them to repay it all in 3 years?

"Yeah sure, wanna see our 10,000+ nukes?"

There's been talk of repaying the debt with T-80 tanks, though.
