WEll They did it. Unreal 2 XMP in Ut2004 (A full convert MOD)
You can get it from fileshack.com fileplanet.com and severial other places. (They are still working on it but so far I havnt had any problems yet)

OK ive ran into a bug. When you press more that 3 keys at the same time sometimes your movment will get stuck for a second or two.

Also I am now playing with everything set to highest at 1600x1200 but im getting a steady 120FPS in the middle of firefights.

some of the maps remind me of the futuristic shinra buildings and the barrens places remind me of red's homeworld :O

I only played the demo which I absolutly loved.
This might make me buy UT2004.
I loved the demo of this game from Pc Gamer. Brilliant piece of work. Though is the netcode better in this one? Wasn't brilliant in the demo I played.(As in 56k compatible)

Never really got interested in U2 XMP... and I have to admit that UTXMP bored me to death... My UT2004 directory is already far too big for something so... Meh.

Part of the trouble is that it uses the Unreal 2 loadout of course. Probably the most disappointing £25 i'd ever spent for a FPS ever...

I also despised Unreal 2, and I own every Unreal game there is (even the DC and PS2 versions of UT, and Unreal Championship on the Xbox.
Unreal is my favourite PC fps, Unreal 2 was just plagued with stupid Liandri nonsense and an extremely boring weapon loadout.

Exactly, and the reappearance of those weapons in a UT2004 mod will spell doom for something that is clearly an impressive labour of love...
