UV Neon 'melted'

Are these things supposed to get really hot? I've had one in my case for ages without a problem, then one day it gets so hot that it literally melts the glue on the stickypads holding it in place, and it drops off. It still works though - is this normal?

Mine have not done that at all. Glad they still work though.

Just curious but do you have 1 or 2 CCLs and do you use a single or a dual inverter.

I have a dual inverter but its only running the one tube ... maybe this is the problem, although it is the inverter that came with the tube, it just has an extra plug for another tube.
