Which is your preferred weapon for starting campaigns? I usually pick the Uzi up now.

I say shotgun myself, the UZI is good but I find myself empty before the next ammo pile quite alot.

Then use the poll damn it.

Shotgun.

Unless everyone else picks shotgun them I go with Uzi.

I use uzi, although I can use both.

Shotgun. The Uzi runs out of ammo a little too fast, plus I enjoy the splatter of the head.

Shotgun 9 times out of 10. Find it much more effective than the Uzi.

Shotgun. Packs a lot more punch than the uzi I find, and it's surprisingly good when one of your teammates goes down and gets swarmed. Usually only takes a couple of shots to put them all down. :D

The only time I use the uzi is if everyone else's carrying the shotgun, might as well mix it up a bit then.

I like shotgun more, although it is pretty punishing when you friendly fire someone, especially on expert.

I go both ways (the guns I mean). Regarding the advanced weapons, lately ive been using the asault rifle more than the auto shotgun mainly because I find it easier to conserve ammo and get headshots on distant enemies before having to engage them up close *great vs boomers because it penetrates thru walls*.

Shotgun, even though i tend to teamkill a lot with it, no matter how hard i try. Then again, that happens with the Uzi as well.

I take the uzi most of the time. Uzi 9 times out of 10.

Shotgun usually, but Uzi if everyone else takes the Shotgun.

Uzi. I don't like how long it takes to reload shotties properly while desperately bashing away a horde.

I used to take Uzi a lot, but now I take shotgun.

The only reason being is that I burn through Uzi ammo like a rich man burns through his money with unnecessary cammodities. The only reason I prefer AR over AS is because you can head-shot with the AR, using less ammo.

Shotgun. The uzi goes through ammo too fast. The shotgun also puts those bastards down fast if your aim is decent. The worst thing about the shotgun is the reloading, though. It takes forever, and it's a real downside to it when you have to keep whacking them when reloading or when you're getting swarmed and it forces you to switch to pistol because you can't wait for it to reload.

Uzi is good for spraying, but shotty gets the job done, just gotta be a bit less trigger happy.

Uzi.

you guys need to realize that the normal shotgun is FAR INFERIOR to the the uzi.

it's important to stress that the UZI is not weaker compared to the shotgun as far as damage pr. bullet/pellet goes.

the uzi got a larger clip size, quicker reload, faster firing rate, better accuracy and I believe bigger ammo reserve as well.

ps. for everyone saying they burn thru uzi ammo(and everybody else for that matter)...learn to preserve your ammo, don't use primary ammo on shambling infected(the ones that doesn't charge you) only use primary ammo to deal with boss infected and during horde attacks.

pps. ugh! poll shows why so many teams fail, especially on harder difficulties. pick the shotty and your a liability to the team.

And yokur a nerd without any friends, whats your point?.

The only real liability is someone who's so up their own infected zombie hole they cant find any long term friends to team up with.

You like the Uzi, others like the shotty, you can cry about their preferred weapon but you'll love it all the same when it stands between you and a smokers tongue dragging you in, or a hunter ripping out yer HP.

:imu:

Shotgun if i am kneeling upfront and Uzi when i am covering somebody's back. Same with M16 and Auto Shotgun.

Shotgun! Uzi eats ammo like a fat kid at a winter buffet!

Plus you can take multiples down with one good shotty shot! :sniper:

I've tried that Auto shotty and I have to say...thats pretty awesome.

Its like an I-Win button, its epic.

Surprised no one's said it but it depends on the level. The claustrophobic opening of No Mercy lends itself well to the shotgun whereas the relatively open and linear first map of Death Toll lends itself to the long range and accuracy of the Uzi.

But I prefer the shotgun as then you have one long range and one short range weapon.

It's early days yet, but i've found myself picking up the shotgun more often.

Yeah but the Uzi kills the enemy faster than the shotgun also its having more range.
Voted for Uzi.

shotgun, because 8 times out of ten when you need to use either they are close enough the shotty is in it's prime.

and the fact you can generally plink things at a distance with the pistol

Yeah but the Uzi kills the enemy faster than the shotgun also its having more range.
Voted for Uzi.

After playing a number more hours yesterday evening, i'm tending to sway towards the uzi, although i think it may be down to the different levels. The more open levels seem to benefit the uzi, as the accuracy and range of the shotgun renders it slightly useless in certain scenarios.

Shotgun, because the Uzi is a weak piece of crap when you get close range. I'd rather have my pistol for long range.

I really think that the Uzi is the superior weapon, but I just run out of ammo with it so damn fast...
