I decided to make this thread because I don't wanna hijack the matrix theories thread. So anyways, yes, there is a V for Vendetta movie coming out. Hugo Weaving plays V. Natalie Portman is Evey. Still takes place in London. Wachowskis are writing script, first time director is directing (though he's worked with the Wachowskis on their other films). Alan Moore doesn't support it (much like every other comic-to-film adaption of his work).
For those not in the know:
V for Vendetta is about V or well, in reality, Evey and the walking ideal, "V". V is a terrorist who wears a Guy Fawkes mask in a fascist ruled Britain trying to do everything in his powers to get revenge on those who experimented on him in the concentration camps and take back the country for the people. He finishes what Mr. Fawkes started to do on November 5th (Guy Fawkes tried to blow British Parliament on November 5th, 1605). I won't go farther than that, wouldn't want to ruin it so early for you. Pick up the comic if you ever get a chance, you will not be disappointed.
