Just asking, so don't flame. But doesn't Punkbuster use some sort of unique ID banning? Like when you get caught it bans you and takes some ID numbers of your computers parts (or are they IQ) , so that you can't play if you buy a new game, you have to buy a new comp?

But haven't fair warnings been given since day one? Face it warnings don't do sh*t. Mostly I don't care about the cheaters anymore (I don't play any valve games so much), but those who use cheats and then pretend to be so "1m t3h 0wn3r c4nt y t3ll by m wr1t1ng t4t 1m ei r3tard!", so in english those who use cheats and pretend that they don't

punkbuster for cs:s would have to be a 3rd party anti cheat program and $20 says that VAC2 would pick it up as a cheat its self

VAC2 will rule when It's done. I think VALVe are waiting 'till most Hacks are out there, and then they will spring it on them. That way most of the cheaters will be cought out already.

Secondly, they said it would be a surprise for "the community". When I think of the community I'm not thinking of just the CS players. A lot of people (me included, despite being a fan of CS:Source) were disappointed with it being passed off as HL2's multiplayer. So I, and many others have this naive idea that perhaps some kind of MP component for HL2 will be released, like a simple deathmatch.
It probably won't be that but it's worth a shot at hoping for.

I think a lot of people are too busy being impressed with the facelift rather than cheating so far, at least IMO because I haven't come across a single cheater yet!

cs:s content would be really cool too, i like cs:s but an update would make it a lot better
