Vacation time from work for HL2?

yeah I don't think its worth losing money over. I mean, it is still going to be the same game if you wait a few hours. you've waited years in anticipation through delays and such, can you really not hold out a few more hours to play the game so you can fulfill your real life obligations?

well im at school so it doesnt matter if i miss out cause i dont get paid anyway,ill probably just say im sick or something and stay home for awhile and just play HL2 and Halo 2.

I moved my day off from the 16th to the 17th, i come home from work at 2pm, which is about the time it will be released in the Uk over Steam, and play it for the rest of the day, allnight and all the next day .

HL2 release is dead in the middle of a huge break in the exam period for me... enough for a good 24 hour gaming session between study blocks. :thumbs:

Already booked the whole week off. Can't wait. Got my bucket, phone and extra strength deodorant ready, cos I ain't leaving my seat till I've seen everything it has to offer.

Then I'll move onto Halo 2. And GTA:SA if I still haven't managed 100% by then (the journey begins tonight).

take it to work and play it at lunch on a cruddy laptop , lucky me w00t!

then take it home n play away

Think about HL2 when ur at work guys , the day will go alot lot faster

well, I gotta work from 12 - 10:30, so If they release it at 10:30 am to pre-orders, like they have been lately for the past game or two, then I will pick it up at 10:30, come home at 10:30 at nite, and play it. Wake up early Wednesday morning, and play some more before work.

I always work 5 days and have 2 days off for the week. It can be different each week so I'll just tell em to put those 2 days off to be on the 16th and 17th.

Booking the 16th, 17th and 18th off Not going to do it untill exatley 2 weeks before release though, to try and ensure that I'm not stuck with time off if they change the date.

BTW, UK law entitles you to holiday. If you book time off work, with the required amount of notice, they have to pay you for it.
