validating steam files...cant play my games

so i just got a new computer and installed steam and downloaded all the games i had on my previous computer...now it is saying validating steam files when i try to play TF2...i deleted that clientregistry.blob file then started steam up again but it didnt help...what are some other options i have to get TF2 to work, this is sooo frustrating!

You could try:

* Exit Steam
* Navigate to your Steam installation directory. (c:\program files\steam\ by default.)
* Delete everything in that directory EXCEPT the following:
o steam.exe
o steamapps directory (All of Steam's game files are kept here.)
* Restart Steam to test the issue
