After the Potato Sack update a couple of days ago a bunch of strange additions were found in the 13 games in the deal. You can follow the developments on the dedicated Valve ARG Wiki here.[br]

[br]From the Turrets video released earlier tonight there are two strange images in the video which I've screen grabbed above. You can help contribute and help with the ongoing investigation by checking out the wiki. [br]There are many theories currently including GLaDOS having infected these other Steam games as her influence spreads or this potentially having a link to 'bridging the gap' between Portal 1 and Portal 2 storylines. Who knows!
 
not those ones in particular, they just showed up today.

I'm sure this is gonna be the bridging of the Gap between Portal 1 & 2

These stills from the video contain encoded messages to a couple of people off the Facepunch forums who are working on cracking the ARG plus a dig at the mother of a guy who said that the ARG had nothing to do with Portal 2.

In the actual Potato sack games there are text clues and glyphs hidden in each game. The first pic here is being interpreted as there being 16 glyphs and 13 hidden phrases to find.

One of the glyphs for the game was found in real life at one of the dev's HQ. These things are quite fun to watch unfold.
 
hmm, anyone know what the numbers at the top of the images mean??
 
I heard of the Potato Fools Day thing, I didn't know what it was refering to until you created that post

So whats this all about, we're going to have Potato Cake by the end of the game?

Edit: Also, everyone's promotional items are gone. Bill's Hat, Frying Pan, Worms Hat, etc.
 
I got my items back by the way - I died and got them as drops.
 
Someone has to say it... I hope this is the announcement of Episode Three.

Could be Adam Foster. He was in charge of the first Portal 2 ARG and those frames are basically direct communications to the people trying to solve them.

From an in-universe explaination, it could be Doug Rattman.
 
According to the ARG wiki, its in fact Geoff Keighley, possibly going to show something exclusively about portal 2 before anyone else maybe. Perhaps there is a take-a-tour mode whereby you get to walk the facility before the disaster

The Twitter feed goes as far back as the 22nd of March and the character appears to live in The Wonderful End of the World which is one of the games in the Potato Sack bundle.

Whats the likelyhood that this isn't a viral for a game, more like a service?
 
It'd be pretty lame if this was all leading up to a Linux support announcement.
 
Speak for yourself. Linux support would be awesome. There doesn't really seem to be any clear sign of where this is leading to. The number 16 is coming up and the games are all linked (the blog I posted earlier has a character from one of the game's universes communicating with the other universes via the internet) but the Portal video seems to just be a hint and not properly related and the TF2 hat just seems to be an encouragement to join in.

The guy in the Portal video is apparently someone from GTTV who're doing a Portal 2 show tomorrow according to the ARG wiki. So I guess it could be leading up to that. Other theories is that this is related to Doug Rattman or GLaDOS hacking into things. Basically I've no idea.
