Gabe Newell mentioned today in the DICE 2009 Keynote that the "Meet the" Video team are working on Valve-created Comics, Stay tuned till we get more info about this.

$20 says they suck.

Forty imaginary dollars I don't have says that they'll kick major butt.

(I automatically think about the Soldier line, "You're making checks your butt will find uncashable!". I'm hoping I got that quote right...)

10 years from now at GDC 2019, Valve announces Gordon on Broadway! "Whack whack till your hearts content, those floppy headcrabs better repent!"

While I appreciate some good TF2 humour, theres a whole internet community out there that does it for free, how about Valve stick to actually making episode 3 and stuff, you know, since they take so long to get anything done, which while it ensures quality, it means I may be pushing 40 by the time we actually see HL3.

Sounds cool, lol :D

Should be a good laugh

I'd prefer them to get the "Meet the" videos done first, then do the comics.

There have been a couple basic TF2 community made comics which have been very funny so this should be a good laugh. The pyro calling for the medic 3 times, with the medic next to him suddenly going up in flames when he doesn't heal him (SPAAAHH!)

But yeah...Gabe's idea leads on from this:
Gabe brings up an excellent point that successful entertainment companies will realize that fans of properties like the property, not the specific product. They are Harry Potter fans, not just fans of the books.

Sounds cool. Valve have some very good writing talent. Even their blog updates sometimes make me laugh harder than any TF2 fan-comic I've seen.

I just didn't like CSS. I couldn't shoot worth anything. The problem might have been I was on a office 40 player game but I stunk.

I think that is your problem :upstare:. CSS isn't that bad. Some usermade game modes can be fun.

Back to the point, Valve doing comics sounds okay. As long as they're L4D comics.

I think Gabe said only TF2 comics will show up.
