Doug Lombardi, Valve's PR manager and Kim Swift, Valve game developer, are under the radar again in yet another interview that has been published online. This time, the interview has been conducted by the folks from Game Helperhttp://pcmac.gamehelper.com/, and with it come some new screenshots of Team Fortress 2 and Portal.
FlyingMaiden [GH]: What will the system requirements for episode 2 look like? Can we expect the same as episode 1?[br]Doug Lombardi: Yes, we try to stay on the low end as much as we can throughout the given set of current technology. In the Half-Life 1 era we very rarely moved the bottom end but we supported higher end cards. We're trying to do the same thing now. Once we get our hands on some DX10 cards, we'll start writing games to fit that technology. With Half-Life 2, the minimum spec was DX7, so you may not see everything, the water may not look as cool, but gameplay wise you wouldn't be at any advantage or disadvantage.
