This news makes me wish I lived in Norway, where the Gathering opens its doors at the Vikingskipet Olympic Arena in Hamar on March 23rd. The Gathering is an event that hosts many activities, from gaming competitions to demo competitions. [br]
Jesse Cliffe (co-creator of Counterstrike) and Mike Dussault (has worked on everything from Team Fortress Classic to Counterstrike: Source) will be attending the Gathering. They will be hosting a seminar to talk about their experiences as game developers which should outline Counterstrike to Half-Life 2. [br]
If you are attending the Gathering, I highly recommend signing up for their seminar. [br]
To visit the Gathering website, click here.

Wow! How does a person with 29 posts get to be a content writer... Anywho... GO VALVE!

What does my post count have to do with my position? What are you implying?

I'm just saying... usually people with higher post counts tend have been involved with the community more and sometimes get picked for a position over somebody who has 1 post. It doesn't reflect their intelligence but it shows dedication... or spammage. :P

I think you understand what I'm trying to say

EDIT: Wait a sec... is it me or did your post count stay at 29 after you posted?

Why i wont go:

Norway is way way too expensive for me (damn oil)
Too far away

I have to settle for dreamhack but that really dont count as a scenelan anymore.. too bad.

The Gathering, move to a cheaper place so i can visit you!

"damn oil" ? L.O.L.

Seen in a Norwegian oil-company's commercial:

- Oil, keeps the Swedes away

:D

Seriously tho. Great news for the Norwegian gaming scene, having such prestigious gaming-developers overt to talk about their experiences. If I only lived a bit closer to Hamar I would certainly check it out.

Ugh someone needs to post vids!!! Interviews!!!

Well, I may not have been involved in the halflife2.net community before a few months ago, but I was in the Team Fortress community for six years before I retired. I was deemed one of the most influential people in that community by many. I have tried to do my best to show a deep interest in the hl2.net community, as my News Post count should be testament to I hope!

I don't think you need a ticket for visiting. You should check it out.
