Sounds fun and I can't wait!! :)

"If you go half way and shoot another one it will push you out of the on your in i tried it because one of the levels were to hard to get passed so i tried cheating!"

19 levels? sounds nice but the more of them we get in the final version , the better.

I wonder if it pushes you out as in just a gentle nudge or whether it boosts you out. If the latter, it could be a good tactic.

interesting i wonder why he didnt ask about tf2.

I can't wait for when the modding community gets hold of it and we get portals in a full active environment.

I wonder if you can still use the technique of shooting 2 portals, standing just infront of one (not going through), then shoot the other repeatedly until you reach the end of the level.

That's what made Narbacular Drop ridiculously easy.

one beta playtester that got to test the game said that you couldn't shoot a portal through a portal, like you could in narbacular drop. i think its a good gameplay change, because you're right it would make things too easy.

Ohh, the idea that you can shoot portals through portals was cool.

It better have a time trial.
Otherwise they didn't think of everything.

I hate time trials. Maybe a time trial with official ranks.

I wouldn't mind certain bits being timed, but not the whole game. Also, you can't shoot through portals is good.

Hey, say there was a turret gun, and you opened a portal behind it. Then opened a portal in front, so when it shoots its bullets go through and hit it in the back: I think that would be cool. Anyone else?:cat:

That would be awesome..

Or would it injure you if you aim the portal towards you..?

we still have no idea how projectile weapons (whether the player's or npc's) are effected by the portal, but i do agree that it would be cool and make more sense if the bullets traveled through the portal.

after all... one strategy to get rid of a turrent is to have it shoot itself :D

The problem with shooting portals through portals is that it basically allows you to navigate the entire level without walking anywhere. I thought the last level of nabacular drop was really hard... until I realized that I didn't have to physically move upwards: all I had to do was "walk" the two portals upwards and then finally step through from the bottom right to the exit. While it was sort of neat to figure it out, I can see how it might spoil the puzzles or make them less challenging.

I wouldn't mind having the ability to shoot through portals later on in the game, with very complex puzzles designed for it.

I see what you mean Apos. Unfortunately I didn't think to just shoot the portals through each other on that level. I got flattened a few times.

What I'm saying is not that it's a obligatory task to finish stages in within a certain timespan, but that if the player wants to gain ranks or something, he should have time-trials by the side of the real single player mode.
