There’s no denying the huge importance Garry’s Mod plays in the Half - Life 2 modification community, and the third article in 1UP.com’s VALVe week acknowledges it openly.
The four page feature contains much information about the successful physics playground, including some comments from Garry Newman, the creator - and 1UPs twelve favourite user creations, including an upcoming comic Apostasy, a giant flying fortress and a 350 foot tall robot.[br]
[br]Head over to 1UP.com to read the article. As if that wasn’t enough, there’s also an extra special treat, in the form of an exclusive video containing brand new footage of Half-Life 2’s Xbox version. Check it out here.
[br]Tomorrow, 1UP are going retro by reminiscing about the origonal Half-Life, and how VALVe got started. Don't miss it!
What Newman's accomplished is, in effect, the world's first interactive physics simulator with a first-person shooter interface. And because the whole affair is so easily accessible, Newman's forums are giddy with the wide-eyed gumption of a high school physics class' show-and-tell space.
