Vampire Bloodlines Help?

Alright, I just got done doing the last main mission in Santa Monica (starting city). Now it says for me to go Downtown to LaCroix's Venture Tower. The only thing is... I can't find a friggen way to get from Santa Monica to Downtown! Theres no where to go!

And if I use the levechange cheat, then LaCroix's speach dosent change from the beggining of the game.

Now, I know this game is chock full of bugs... but c'mon! I can't get to the next town.

Any help is appreciated.

I have to assume that there is a bug in your game and the taxi is not appearing at all right?

Do I have to complete every quest in my Quest Log for Santa Monica before the taxi showes up? Because I still have a few pending, but I've completed the one that tells me to go Downtown.

Once the game tells you to go downtown the taxi should appear, it must be a bug.

You don't have to clear all missions (in fact, you can't) before you move onto the next level. Some of the missions are spread across multiple cities. I don't remember, but I might have had to do another mission after the one that said to visit Venture Tower before the taxi actually showed up. It could be a bug, but you might be missing something. When it appears, the taxi should be right between the diner and "the Asylum"... if it's there you can't miss it.

Ok guys....I need a little help here!

I'm in Gouts mansion right, fiddled with the candlesticks to open the first door but there's another door with bars over it in the green tinted room, how the hell do I get it open! Any help would be appreciated if you can understand this v confuxing post!

As I remember, when you enter the big room after completing the candles, you're supposed to go up some stairs that for now doesn't lead anywhere. There should be a switch in the room that looks just like the candles you just used in the candle "puzzle".
