Nope. We just do what we do with all anime threads: say something is good, wait for the haters to come along, have a little arguement about Anime's merits / lack of merits and then the thread dies.

Haven't seen this film mind you. Or the film it is a remake of. I don't gravitate towards the violent stuff.

I see. Sort of pointless, but if there is a good discussion before the death, then I am all for it! :cheers:

This one is my favorite because the art and animation are superior, but the first one is a classic in its own right and can be thoroughly enjoyed by anyone with an interest in the dark and macabre.

I've got this on a CD lying around the house somewhere. It's pretty impressive in terms of animation iirc, and the plot's not too bad. It's got that Ninja Scroll factor of mindless generic cheese for the sake of fun, but I guess as with most things if you approach it without expecting too much you wont be disappointed.

I saw the first one too, ages back. It was the usual Devilman-style retro kiddish gore fare, but not too bad. From what I understand Bloodlust is more of a sequel than a remake, since the story and characters are completely different.
