Well met!
While this forum already has a OFFICIAL vampire cure thread, it lacks a thread on the subject itself.
The vampire is the best sub-class I have ever come upon in a RPG. You don't really choose to be one, altho you can off course cure yourself: go to a church within three days after the infection (or three nights of sleep; that's unsure), or do the very long quest to find a cure.
You can also embrace Porphyric Hemophilia as vampirism is officially called. Every day you don't feed on a NPC you gain an extra vampire power. The first for example is hunter vision. That's a combination of night sight and spotting NPC's behind walls.
The downsides to not feeding are twofold: the sun will kill you and your appearance will degrade. NPC's will comment on your bad looks and even advise you to see a doctor.
Don't let the feeding scare you off though. It's really easy if you're a non-stealth character like me, and if you already are a thief / assasin / etc. you can just do your feeding on the fly while you are robbing houses.
For all the people that still doubt, I made this mini-guide:
Feeding on NPC's
Procedure:
Footage of a feed
Tips:
Happy feeding!

Feeding on NPC's
Procedure:
- Find a sleeping NPC
- Go stealth
- Approach the NPC
- Press use button (default: space)
- Select feed
Footage of a feed
Tips:
- Feed at least once every 24 hours and don't go to sleep after feeding.
- You will not gain vampire powers when you feed
- Feed on your fellow guild mates. Most of 'em are asleep between midnight and five AM
Happy feeding!
