Hi I was wonderin'

1) What are all the different sky box names available for hl2?
2) What is the difference between each light entity? Which looks
best?
3) Whats the typical height of a normal ceiling? (I always seem to
make rooms to large or to small.)
4) Any tutorials on how to work with the A.I., and how to set up
events? (have yet to find a real in depth tutorial for this)

1) In the texture browser, type 'sky' in the filter box to see the front/back/left/right/etc sections of each sky.

2) There isn't a 'best' light - each has its uses. A "light" emits light in all directions equally. A "light_spot" emits light in one direction, with a fall-off around that direction specified by you. A "light_environment" is for use outdoors.

3) Most wall textures are mapped to the correct 0.25 texture scale on a 128 unit high brush. Therefore, make your wall heights multiples of 128 (128, 256, etc). Generally, 128 is a good height for a corridor, and 256 is a good room height.

So for instance some sky box name might be day01_09 or something like that?
 
Nearly...you need the sky_ prefix, so valid sky names would be sky_day01_01 and so on.
