Verizon DSL...

Does anyone else have Verizon DSL?

I've had it for a few years now. Much faster than my old dial-up, but I've noticed that it seems like every October/early November it begins to screw up.

By screw up I mean constant disconnects for no apparent reason, sometimes several times an hour.

Had an issue where the modem would outright reject my password, which has apparently just now been fixed, after suffering with it for so long (every time).

October before last it was horrible. I still had the password issue so every time I would lose connection I would have to call Verizon to reset it. I called, out of 31 days, maybe 35 or 40 times that month.

So is anyone else having Epic Fail with Verizon DSL?

I used to have the same issues, though not necessarily during those months. Any time really. Overall though it was more reliable than not.

I'm now on Verizon FiOS... I don't know what to tell you other than nyah nyah!

Yeah I'm on verizon dsl, apart from the gay random disconnects, those mother****ers reset my router config whenever they ****ing feel like it and I have to open all the ports again.

Ya, I have verizon DSL, and it keeps disconnecting me from my wireless internet, It is really annoying, having to keep restarting the internet...

I just had to have their tech come over because the router dsl light kept blinking and they said I had a 1% packet efficiency or someshit and they cut my speed in half (down to 800 something from 1.5mb) then it started working and they said that was the solution =\
I call them and tell them I want my old speed back which was working fine for 2 years and they're all "call billing, we can't do shit" and billing is closed till monday. Behold my 1.5 speed is actually back up and downloading by 9 pm, I guess they could do something
Their customer service is pretty awesome. ****loads better than comcast from what I've heard.

I use Verizon DSL but don't usually have problem with disconnects. It is really slow though during the evening. Half of the time I can't even play online games because of the lag. I can only get the 768kbs/128kbs speed where I live. Damn, I wish I could get the FiOS.

It's supposed to be a 3meg download, however I don't think I've ever gotten anything more than 400Kbs.
