I am amused by these ad banners that claim that you can rely on VeriSign to authenticate that a website is secure, and that you can buy from this website, and w/ the verisign logo - trust the website.
How can one possibly use VeriSign as a method of building trust when almost every spyware/adware/malware program you can find - such as Commet Cursor - uses a VeriSign "Security" Certificate?

I hope someone knows, it's scary... unless im getting something rare, il only shop in respectable, well known websites anyway... ebuyer, ebay, overclockers, highstreet stores etc.
