:) i know bmps are bad but my crap is stupid i have nothing to save in jpg at the moment

the total time for this project was 2 hours

plz comment freely and suggest!!!!!! i want to become a good modeler like some of the ones i've seen

thanks guys

sigh im noticing now the little mistakes like the stock and such are blocky ....no clue on how to round it more i tried to mesh it it gives me points but their not enough to round it better :(

im using rhinoceros 2.0 and cant find no tutorials to help me out here either i should find some copy of 3dsm

it looks good...its just the fact that its not amazingly hard to extrude the outline traced from a reference pic. im not trying to put you down, its just it could do with a bit more work to make it thinner, for one thing, and make some bits thinner or fatter than others, vary the depths of the stock and such. try finding 3d reference pics, and add some variation in width and maybe a bit more detail. i just realised youre using rhinoceros, and im afraid i dont have any knowledge of that, infact i dont have a clue what that is, but id recommend GMax, its free, has some tutorials for download, and from that you can progress to 3D Studio Max.

oh...and wtf does this mean '...but my crap is stupid...' :P

I remember my first modle (not long ago) i couldnt waite to show every one..

Nice effort m8 keep up the good work.;)

You deffinatley need to get hold of 3DMAX 5 /5.1/6.0 or Maya Aim Botist... Thats were all your learning will start m8 Trust me im at that point now :) Loveing it as well

i tried gmax i didnt really understand it so i found rhino ...3dsm looks good but im to poor to afford it i would buy it but im only 16

and ya i did do it from an outline :( hehe i cant get points like how the tutorials show i really cant ive tried everything and nothing has worked thats why it looks blocky and i would do it without an outline if i had 3d views but i dont cause i couldnt find those online either and dont worry you didnt put me down by saying what you said cause i put myself down cause it doesnt look all that great because i cant get the stupid point thing to work

if someone could help me find 3dsm or send it to me on mirc :) id love them hehe but oh well not gonna happen

im going to try and figure out how to make things look smooth like the curves and such out of blocks like i saw in the 1 tutorial it looked good for a low poly galil

I need 3Ds Max. Heh. Nice model though. It's just an extrusion but a very nice one indeed.
