Very High Ping

Forgive me, If this has been asked already.

Could someone tell me what could be causing my incredibly high ping. It has only started tonight and it fluctuates tremendously, some servers are going from 260-60 and back (usually 35-60). I can't play on any of my favourites at the moment.

I have checked carefully that nothing else is using the bandwidth on my side. I have NIS2006 running and when I disable it, there are no changes to the ping. Is there a problem with the Steam Network tonight or is it something on my side.

Any help appreciated.

No it's not. Definately not. I have several pcs here some newer than others, they all report the same.

I've just tested my 10meg blueyonder broadband on 4 seperate speedtest sites, apparently it's only performing at 180-400 kbs. It's obviously something to do with my ISP.
