Well, currently I work at Target, unloading the truck and stocking.

Well, I'm trying to get a job at School Messenger as a help desk representative. The job pays $9-$11/hour. It will be a big jump from the $6.75/hr I'm making now... I've had my second interview by a man in California, I live in Missouri..so this isn't just some small buisness apparently, and he said that the manager of the buildng in Joplin will be giving me a call this comming week. I can't wait to start this, great pay and everything....mmmm.

I've been trying to get a job myself for like a month but no luck, but then again, being 16 complicates matters.

I just got a new job at Famous Daves. They are a restaurant that makes ribs if you didn't know. I am going to be starting as a host and my hopes are to move on to catering which is an option after a month. For catering I will make $24/hr plus tips. It is gonna be some sweet money.

This reminds me, I have to ask for a raise at my job since we're hiring somebody that I essentially will be training in and will be responsible for. I just have to think of a way to say I deserve a substantial raise or they'll give me some piddly $.50/hr extra.

Heh, at Target, it takes you one year to get a .25/hr raise....seems rediculous.

I've been looking for a part time job since last may...bastards won;t hire me cuz everytime they call my previous workplace (littel caesars...they ahted me there and i felt the same way about htem) they always gave me a bad review LOL, so now i stopped including them in my resume/references and we'll see where that takes me!!!

Yeah... always ask your referees before you put them on your Resume/CV. No point putting on someone who says "He's a bad worker LOL"

Hey Glirk, do they actually run a pit there and smoke? Or is their stuff parboiled then smoked? I've had their ribs and brisket a couple times, while it was decent. It didn't have that smoked taste or texture. Just trying to get some "inside info".

The $9.00/hr - $11.00/hr job is only First Tier position. I'm sure the second tier stuff is up that range. I don't know enough of this company/program to be a second tier. I will be able to only answer the easy questions now. We'll see in about six months how well my performance is. Personally, I do find it hillarious how the minimum of what I can get paid here is the same I was getting paid at a fast food joint as management ;P

I know. Sadly, they expect you to work as quickly as possible, help customers, the whole shibang. I'm only working as fast as $.50 more than minimum wage tells me to...

I dont blame you, wheres the ambition in min. wage....you gotta get yourself an under the table kind of job. I bartend and before that barbacked at a club in Boston, its hard work, but on a good night I leave with about 200 bucks....for 5 hours work.

My actual job is only around 35K a year to start so its a good side job and plus its cash
