very low fps on all games

Like a week ago i started to play some counter strike source and it was very laggy. Before i started play it said somthing about a out dated driver but it happened all the time so i went continue anyway. so i started to play battle field2 assuming that it was just my counter strike and the same exacct bad lag... and the same thing with half life 2. aftar wards i defragmented, used spybot :search and destroy and did a full virus scan... and nothing changed.. i got the latest Catalyst 5.9 Windows XP driver for my sapphire radeon 9800 pro.. but still no change...

DOES ANY ONE KNOW HOW TO GET IT BACK TO A REGULAR 60 FPS INSTED OF 12 FPS?

Ok..first of all please give your specs of your system (especally the processor and motherboard.) You say a week ago, so what did you do to your PC that made your games run slow?

2.40 ghz. 512 ram. radeon 9800 pro. and i dont know how to check my mother board type..

When you mean laggy, does it kind of stutter a bit..like it freezes for a fraction of a second and then resumes?

that's pretty low. you tried re-installing the games?? I can't be of much help on this one....something either in the BIOS or something got changed..or you might have done something and don't remember (I've done that before). Sorry.
