Very low fps

On HL2 if i play either multiplayer or single player my game play is very slow and sluggish i have found this to be because im getting 3-15fps however if i play any other like HL1 or tfc i get 71+ fps

it is an onboard sis661fx graphic chip due to my old motherboard blowing up and taking my old graphics card with it now i would just for now until i buy a new one to be able to play HL2

The Res is on low and i cant really change the settings because it crashes i do have 512MB -32MB shared memory

What i dont understand before i even had my AGP card i was using a onboard chip anyway so way is being like this

Please help so i can get back on to hl2

u need to raise your shared memory and dont expect good fps with intigrated

That didnt work either when its sluggish i still have 55MB of ram but i cant understand why the fps is so low

Anyone got any ideas ive updated the drivers too

Whats the graphics card? the ram on it.


I got 10 ~ 35 fps in lowest settings, 1.7ghz CPU, 16mb video card, 256 ram.

Its a SIS 661fx on 512MB (minus 32MB of shared) 480MB

I have tried using 64mb,128mb shared and still the same its ok for any other game apart from hl2

According to the manual its ment to be a great onboard graphics and msi say its better than my old motherboard as well which had a S3 graphics on it which did work with hl2

I dont mind about the graphics i just want to play the game :

i have the SiS 760 but there is no such thing as a good intigrated card my 760 got the same fps as u did on 128mb shared
