Ok, so I finally am getting to play Half life 2. It runs great and it looks spectacular. A Red Letter Day put the biggest smile on my face. The only problem is I am experiencing a very strange bug where some npcs bodies are not there but their head floats and you can see their shadows, some have wire faces with no detail on them, and also, many boxes are invisible and i just see the shadow of them and run into them. Is there a way to fix this?

Check steampowered.com support pages for methods of validating your files (in case there are errors or corrupt files).
Also, have you got the latest drivers for your gfx card - what is your card?
