Vid. Cards you can use?

Im running a radeon all-in-wonder 8500 which has worked with Dx9 before, but i cannot find any postings saying it should not work. Just wondering if it will run HL2.

it will owrk, but dont ry to run it in Dx9 mode, id suggest using Dx8, seeing as that card aint exactly top of the line. Maybe even Dx7 to get better resolution and framerates.

But.... I'm pretty sure the HL2 engine will automatically boot you back to 8.1. I know my crappy fx5600 gets booted to 8.1 until I get a 6800 GT 256mb

Is it really? I have a 9200 SE and thats NOT DX9 compilant...
