Video Encoder

Does anyone know of any good video encoders. I have Dr.DivX currenty but it seems to like stripping my video down time wise. I make a 14 second video and it turns in into a 5 second video so non of the speach goes along with what is going on?!

Just use the DivX codec and load your video in VirtualDub and there is an option to match the "fps" of the sound to the video

cool ill try and download that, have you got any recomendations on what app to use to record off the screen. I have tryed CamStudio but once recording was compleat the video and voice where really out of sync.

Xvid is WAY better for compressing movies.

I dont know the best way to go about compressing things. Do I open the movie in the player or somthing and there are options in there for compresion?
