I remember watching this Morrowind trailer when it was released, and I was so happy for the rest of the week. I had been anticipating the game for so long that when this video came out, playing its epic Morrowind music, I could have died right then and there happy (assuming of course I didnt realize I was about to die and thus have been able to comprehend the fact that I wouldnt have been able to play it, but you get the point).

Still gets to me a bit. God I love that song. I'm probably even going to reinstall it this weekend, **** yeah!

Anyways, post the trailers that got you excited back in the day when trailers were good.

Are you like 3 years old Frosted? You consider the newest call of duty game trailers to be "back in the day"? Eh, whatever, go ahead any post any trailers that got you going, doesnt necessarily have to be from back in the day.

And hell yeah at the smash bros trailer and the HL2 E3 2003 cam demo! God those brought back memories. I'm pretty sure the hl2 video was what brought me to this site for the first time.

I tried that game about a month ago. I loved it years ago, but when I re-tried it, after playing oblivion it just wasn't that amazing. I just wish that Bethesda was as imaginative as they were with Oblivion as they were with (EDITSHUTUP)Morrowind(EDITSHUTUP)...

Just need to make sure you don't get away with this one.

/me points and laughs and encourages my entourage to do the same.

in the Opposing Force vid: At :30, that was the ONLY level I couldn't get past without cheats. That part was stupid.

Oh, yeah, I remember that part.

I didn't use cheats, but it took me forever to get past it. I think I actually ran out of ammo.

i tried several times and failed miserably. I would barely scrape past the first one then get owned by the next 5.

I still play and mod for Morrowind, the game is literally my number 1 game. Nothing can beat it, even in it's buggy vanilla state it's amazing. I even like the combat more, as in Morrowind high skills levels affect your fighting rather than giving you a stupid perk every 25 levels.

Asheron's Call, probably my favorite game of all time. Everything that came after this generation of MMOs was shite. I remember logging in and being awe struck, the world was so huge. Sometimes I would just go exploring for hours and hours. The combat and quests were ****ing epic and the world had such a rich amount of lore. That game had so many things right. The patron/vassal system was awesome. For those of you who didn't play it, you could take another player as a vassal, kind of like a disciple, and you would go hunting with them and hook them up with gear, it wasn't uncommon for people to have the same patron for years and develop real friendships. Such a good game ;( Could never understand why people played EQ when there was UO and AC.

I used to be obsessed with Dark Forces 2. This trailer completed my life.

Yeah. It takes less than 2 BOXES from the m249 to take out all of the queen things.

Such promise. Despite the video saying "E3 2002 Xbox," this was actually the trailer that came with PC Gamer magazine in (I believe) '99. I've still got that old disc lying around somewhere. Used to watch the hell out of it.

This trailer was a defining moment in my life. It was the first time I realized that I could be disappointed in a game that wasn't supposed to suck.

Before release:
"Oh god, the PHYSICS!"

After release:
"...oh god, the physics."

What really pisses me of is now that the technology has matured nobody is making an openworld Jurassic Park FPS game. Hell they could use the cryengine, just add dinosaurs. It's ****ing ridiculous, the FPS genre is suprasaturated with military simulators, but if you want to kill dinos there's only the Turok series to speak of... :|

Well, if you look at how Turok did, you can't really blame people for not taking a chance on a new JP FPS. Plus, Jurassic Park hasn't been a hot franchise since...I'd say probably since Sega did their arcade lightgun shooter.

There might be a chance for a new game(s) in the future, with the second Jurassic Park trilogy that's going to start with JPIV. Who knows when that's going to come out though; it's been in production since 2002.
