Must've been a slow news day at BBC.

None of the above.

Can't say I've ever really been depressed(aside from the deaths of friends and family) or fat at any point in my life.

wow, so many boring normals on this board. The Phat Club is turning out to be pretty exclusive.

I'm depressed but that is just how I am. I'm more of a pessimistic "glass half full or half empty" (aka different wording but I sound cool because I'm a psychologist) person. Mainly because I can't find a welding job after 7 months now.

I'm depressed that I can no longer steal internet from my neighbors since last week. So no L4D or BF2 till thursday when the comcast guy comes and I'll have legitimate internet. ;(

I think it's hard to point games as a strong culprit of depression, considering most of the gamers are those at an age when depression is so common.

Because obesity, depression and the likes are the preserve of gamers amirite?.

Slow news day indeed. I'm thin, quite contented with my lot in life and I like to stay relatively fit.

I also like HL2 shit, I gotta quit Steam, its gonna keel me!.

Of course video game fans weight more than others, considering how it's an inactive hobby.

If you compare the stereotypical gamer age (teenager), then they're actually less depressed than the average. This is due to the fact that most gamers are male, while nearly all teenage girls are more or less depressed.

"Older than thought"? I really doubt that.

Games have nothing to do with it causally, but it is true that fat/outcast/depressed/unhappy people would tend to be more likely to spend tons of times playing games than their healthier and more socially active compatriots.

omg, gamers can be over 18?!?! My pre-known knowledge that video games are for kids is ruined!
